Big goblins

Carrying the same orangish fur of the goblinoids, a bugbear is one of the two possible metamorphoses of the goblin race.

When a goblin is allowed to live for a number of years, and then is allowed in a single moment to gorge itself, it goes through a period of rapid muscle development, growing larger and taller. While they do not become smarter, bugbears do retain the natural cunning of their goblin stock, and frequently find themselves as bullying leaders of small goblin bands.

While their intelligence may not be as impressive as their hobgoblin cousins, bugbears are sly and subtle fighters when they have the chance to prepare, setting traps and lying in wait so they can spring forth to fell their enemies with a single swift blow.
